Flashcards that tell you when to review

You forget things on a curve: fast at first, then more slowly. The trick to remembering is reviewing a card just before it fades, not on a fixed schedule and not all at once the night before. Academic Load's flashcards do that scheduling for you.

How the scheduling works

Every card you've reviewed has an estimate of how long you'll remember it. Mark a card "Got it" and the gap before you see it again stretches; the longer you'd have gone without it, the bigger the jump. Mark it "Missed it" and it comes back sooner.

The app also tracks how much of each deck you'd probably still recall right now. When a good chunk of a deck has started to fade, a "Time to review" prompt appears on your dashboard with a button that starts that review session, so you never have to remember to remember.

Make decks quickly

  • Type cards by hand, with images on either side of a card (paste one straight in).
  • On Premium, generate a whole deck from a topic or from your own notes with AI, then edit it.
  • Share a deck with your study group, or browse decks other students have published to the Marketplace and copy one to your own account.

Try it with your own classes

Free to start, no card, takes about 30 seconds.

Reviewing material at increasing intervals, timed to just before you'd forget it. It's one of the best-supported ways to remember things for an exam, and it takes far less time than cramming.

Do I need to install anything?

Is the flashcard feature free?

Making, studying and sharing decks is free. Only the AI deck generator is Premium.
